Domain Migration: Where are we?

As has already been announced, this website will be moving to a legitimate web hosting service on a large server, some may wonder what the hold up is, and why this hasn't been completed.

The migration of the website itself is completed, as is the significant portion of the user information, the last and most tedious task, is rewriting the class of the server code responsible for talking to the website and database, since directly communicating with the database over the 'net is a colossal security problem (and dreamhost simply won't allow it) an interface is being developed to handle that communication.

When will this be completed? some of it is already done, the largest section of code left is in directory services queries, I will aim to have the completed class ready in early November, depending on how long it takes to debug.

Im sure I'm a bit late, but I have several VPS's and servers that I could've provided a vps or server from. Root access and all. Im a sysadmin by trade, and always willing to help for something so nostalgic and cool.

The post is a bit old, but I want to add for clarification: we don't accept hosting donations or anything like that. In order to protect user security and network stability (in the long term) we feel it's best we handle it ourselves.
