Weird system message

About yesterday I started getting messages from "Phoenix System Msg" saying something like "your username has exceeded the simultaneous connections limit". I have AIM installed on 2 computers, but the other one is permanently powered off. I doubt someone guessed my password and is using my account. Is this a bug or some kinda weird connection issue?

My account exhibits no activity whatsoever when the weird disconnects happen nor at any other time besides when I message someone. My guess is I am losing connection without the server registering it, so upon re-connection the server thinks I connected twice.

Yeah, most likely you're reconnecting while there's already two sessions ongoing (since AIM can't log you out of those sessions when you lose connection).
