phoenix resource patch is behaving weirdly

basically i applied the phoenix resource patch to AIM 5.0 and now it displays this window on my desktop at all times and i cant get rid of it

and i cant add anything to the stock ticker
if i try to search for a specific stock it gives me an error box with a euro currency character (€) in it and nothing else. i cant even add the default stocks back to the ticker if i remove them

Stock ticker cannot be changed at the moment. As for the window at the top left, I don't really know what's going on with that; it doesn't appear with the 5.9 patch.
