AIM 5.1 and 5.9 crash Windows 10 desktop

I have a fairly fresh install of Windows 10, and whenever I launch AIM 5.1 or 5.9 it sends the desktop into a loop of not responding and then crashing, and AIM never opens. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

Did you install AIMTamer with 5.1 and 5.9?

I ended up getting AIM 5.0 working, and just after that figured out about AIMTamer, I haven't had a chance to try that, but if anyone has this problem, that seems like the solution. Thanks for all your help!

So wait, have other users of Windows 10 gotten AIM 5.1 with DEADAim to work? I've been using 4.8 with DEADAim, and I mean I wouldn't mind having chat room functionality again!

Talk to me if you can get AIM to work on Mac OS 8.1 or any other classic systems.

I have the same problem, however I tried it with and without AIM tramer but it didn´t work. AIM tramer did its job, it terminated AIM but AIM still won´t work after I did this all, is there anyone who can help me??
