it would require client modding to change them, and I have never bothered to try and find the URL string information.

If you open AIM under ResEdit, look in the STR#s, ID 1080, there is field #2 for the original news site source "http://www.aol.com/mynews/edit.adp". Might be worth trying another server there and seeing if it works.
