I use 5.1 on windows 7 x64 without trouble. aside from that it's either try one of the late 4.x releases, run phoenix client or one of the other third party clients like pidgin or miranda, or wait for us to find a way to get an ssl connection established with the AIM 6+ clients.

I'd try a 4.x client, but I kinda wanna use group chats. I'll try and find the error I'm getting when I try to install 5.1
