Pidgin buddy list not working

only a few buddies show up, but most of them dont show up, i have like 200 buddies though, so that might be the problem, How can i fix this?

Are you sure they aren't offline buddies? Pidgin hides offline connections.

Similar, but perhaps separate: Pidgin won't allow me to add buddies to AIM at all.

I can neither add buddies from scratch NOR from pre-existing messages. In the "Add Buddy" window, my AIM account is not selectable from the drop-down. Only my other accounts (IRC) are visible in the list.

Would a --debug be helpful?

--debug doesn't show me anything, but it appears as though I am able to workaround this. I can add a buddy from an Instant Message when I have other accounts disabled.

The displayed account in the "Add Buddy" window is a null value, but it seems to accept/register the buddy add, regardless.

I wouldn't be surprised. I've messed with so many plugins and services in the past two weeks, perhaps I've deleted what was set by the server.

Well you've got me stumped.

It should really not be an issue, but I am also on a Raspberry Pi. Maybe the build is just broken?

The number of people with this exact setup is small so who knows.

I am able to add myself with my aforementioned method, although I'm always "idle."
