AOL 1.0 not working for me, any suggestions?

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to connect my AIM Phoenix account via AIM 1.0 on my old MacBook Air, but it isn't working for some reason. I tried to follow the server settings to no avail. Did I do something wrong? Thanks.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I don’t get any error message. I’m just stuck at “Connecting”.

Some things to check:
1) Is there a firewall?
2) In other areas of the settings, be sure there's no encryption enabled.

Version 1.0 is quite old have you tried a bit newer version? I can fire up my mac and upload the copy I have saved that I used to use on MacOs 8.1 and 9.0
