I can't find most of my contacts on Pidgin

When I got onto my pidgin, I found something peculiar. I can't really find most of my contacts. Can someone try and give me some information on why this happened?

And yes, I disabled encryption services, changed the server name, and then made the authentication MD5 based

if you are expecting to see your contact list from before the AOL shutdown you indeed wont.. no way I could access their database to duplicate all that info.
